Lutheran World Relief Quilts
Since 1945, U.S. Lutherans have provided material resources by the ton for people in need around the world. in 2003, Lutheran World Relief (LWR) shipped 406,560 quilts to many places around the world - places like Afghanistan, China, India, Liberia, Palestine, Thailand and Zambia. The quilts were given to refugees, AIDS orphans, widows, and victims of war, poverty or natural disaster.
What does Trinity Do?
Members of Trinity meet about once every three months to work on quilts that will be sent to LWR for distribution overseas.
What Can I Do?
Join the working group and create handmade gifts of comfort and celebration. All levels of expertise are welcome!
Time Commitment
Two to four hours on the days that the working group meets.
