Mission Endowment Fund
The mission endowment fund was established to enhance the mission outreach of Trinity by providing a vehicle to receive and administer special donations to the church apart from the general operations of the congregation. The interest received on the fund is used to support various activities:
- One quarter will be used for congregational use for programs outside of the budget
- One quarter for local community ministries
- One quarter for benevolence
- The remainder will be returned to the fund to continue its growth and hedge against inflation
None of the funds will go towards the regular church budget, but will be used for mission work above and beyond the activities funded by the congregation.
If you would like to learn more about the fund, how to donate to the fund or how to allocate a contribution to the fund in your will, you can ask any Mission Endowment Committee member or see the educational brochure on the information rack in the social hall. The committee also supplies regular articles to the Trinitarian and schedules speakers to address the adult forum.
The six members of the Mission Endowment Committee are selected by the Nominating Committee and approved by vote of the congregation for a term of three years. If you are interested in serving on the committee, speak with Pastor Berner, any Endowment Committee member or a member of the Nominating Committee.
