Trinity will continue our annual tradition of celebrating Mother’s Day with a baby shower diaper collection throughout the month of May to support the Greater DC Diaper Bank, who provides diapers to DMV social service organizations that are already helping families in need. Our goal is to collect 3,000 diapers (about a year’s worth for one child, depending on their age).  The greatest need for diapers are sizes 4 and 5, but all sizes are being collected.  You can drop off your donation during weekly Sunday services in May or bring the diapers along with your food donation to the monthly food drive on Saturday, May 15 between 9-12.  If you prefer to make a monetary donation, please include with your offering noting the donation for the “diaper drive”.  For more information on the Greater DC Diaper Bank check out their website greaterdcdiaperbank.org

Saturday, February 20 9:00 AM to Noon Food Collection for Living Faith Pantry at Trinity Lutheran Church
The demand for food assistance remains very high at the Living Faith pantry in Rockville. Every week the volunteers at Living Faith assemble bags for 75 families including perishable and non-perishable food items. People line up long before the doors open to make sure they are able to receive food. Providing enough food for 75 families each week takes a lot of coordination and funding. The pantry receives some staple items and fresh produce from Montgomery County, but they are very dependent on the nonperishable items and cash donations we provide to continue feeding this large number of people. Please help Trinity continue its active support of Living Faith’s pantry during these difficult economic times.

The demand for food assistance remains very high at the Living Faith pantry in Rockville. In recent weeks they have served 70 families in a single week, four times the number served pre-pandemic. The need is so critical that the pantry has suspended distribution of personal care items and is focusing only on food at this time. Please help us support Living Faith’s important effort! Right now, there is a deep need for canned meats and peanut butter, as the county has stopped providing frozen meat.
