From Pastor Kern
Dear People of God,
The Epiphany season is upon us. Sunday will mark the Baptism of our Lord. An interesting event in the life of our Lord, the accounts seeks to address how the one who was without sin should come to be baptized for the forgiveness of sins. Stay tuned!
Also on Sunday, Pastor Erin Swenson-Reinhold, Assistant to the Bishop, will be with us. She will be bringing greetings at both services and assisting in our worship. In addition, she will host a Q & A with members of the congregation during coffee hour.
Please come and welcome her to Trinity.
In closing, a special thanks to everyone who helped decorate and then de-decorate the sanctuary for Christmas. Many hands made the work easier than it would otherwise have been!

Listening Sessions in January!
The Congregation is cordially invited to participate in small group discussions facilitated by Council members. We want to hear your perspectives about Trinity’s future as a community and as servants of Christ. We want your help to understand what God is calling us to do as we begin the process of calling a permanent Pastor.
If you have not yet received your invitation or can’t attend the session you were invited to but want to be part of the discussions, please reach out to Jane Ricci or Sarah Garske.

Support a Good Mission: Nominate it for a Mission Endowment Award!
The Mission Endowment Committee seeks your recommendations of organizations to receive awards in the spring. Annually, income from Mission Endowment Fund is used to enhance our mission outreach apart from the operating budget. By sustaining the annual awards, the fund is a gift that keeps on giving!
Mission Endowment Fund awards are made in three categories:
- Special (non-budgeted) projects of Trinity Lutheran Church – our congregation
- Special ministries in the community
- Special benevolence – supporting mission of the church beyond our congregation
Submit nominees to the church office, or place this form in the offering plate, or return it to the church office. Nominations are due by January 15.
NEW – Heavenly Handbells Christmas CD available!
Steve has compiled a Christmas CD called The Sound of Christmas from ten years of our concert recordings. Now you can enjoy our choir’s handbell music in your car and your home all year long. Copies of our previous CD, Heavenly Handbells’ Greatest Hits are also still available. CDs are available in the social Hall on Sunday. A donation of $5.00 is requested.
Altar Flowers for Sunday services may be given in memory or honor of loved ones or in celebration of special anniversaries. Sunday altar flower donation is $35. Sign-up on the bulletin board near the Social Hall kitchen.
Extra Grace Please….
Brian, our administrator, is out on medical leave for an extended period of time. Carol B is filling in in his absence. In this transition, please be patient with us. We are doing everything we can to make sure that things are happening in a timely fashion, but we may miss something. Thank you for your patience!
