Right now, these are troubled times. I (Anita) am struggling daily to find the words to say and the words to pray. I offer you words from our two bishops, and a prayer.
Bishop Elizabeth Eaton has made more remarks in response to January 6. The video is HERE.
Bishop Leila Ortiz shared her experience about January 6 HERE.
A prayer for a time of civic distress
Rise up and come to our help, merciful God, for we are in need. Our spirits are weighed down with fear; our bodies feel as fragile as the dust from which we came. All that we have trusted seems hidden from sight. Although this moment has come upon our nation, you have not forgotten us. We do not trust in our own power or strength, but in your steadfast love in every generation. Show us your face in this time of trial, remind us of your faithfulness, and save us for the sake of Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.

How Can I Support a Good Mission?
Nominate it for a Trinity Mission Endowment Award! The Mission Endowment Committee looks to the congregation for recommendations of organizations to receive awards in the spring. Annually, income from Mission Endowment Fund is used to enhance our mission outreach apart from the operating budget. By sustaining the annual awards, the fund is a gift that keeps on giving! Mission Endowment Fund awards are made in three categories:
1. Special (non-budgeted) projects of Trinity Lutheran Church – our congregation
2. Special ministries in the community
3. Special benevolence – supporting mission of the church beyond our congregation
Submit nominees to the church office (email@example.com), or mail it to the church office. Nominations are due by January 31.

Welcoming Pastor Christine
Pictures for the New Pastor
Unlike times in the past, when a new pastor could visit us in our homes and after Sunday services to get to know each of better, this won’t happen for a while. So, in an effort to assist Pastor Christine to get acquainted each of us, the Worship and Music Team would like to put together an album that would highlight each member. We would like everyone to submit a digital photo of themselves and/or their family plus a short paragraph (a Word document) about yourself and your family. When these are ready, please click on the dropbox address HERE and follow the instructions to submit them to the church office. Deadline is mid-January. Any questions, call Nancy N or email the church office.
