Join us for Worship this Sunday!

Today is the first of five Sundays with gospel readings from John 6, the first four of which focus on Jesus as bread of life. Today Jesus feeds thousands of people with five loaves and two fish. What we have, what we bring to Jesus’ table, seems like it is not nearly enough to meet all the needs we see around us. But it is not the adequacy of our supplies or our skills that finally makes the difference: it is the power of Jesus working in the littlest and least to transform this world into the world God desires, a world where all the hungry are satisfied.

Worship Updates

Come to LIVE Communion worship in the parking lot on Sundays at 10am (signup is necessary HERE or through the church office). We will still offer our YouTube recorded service, which will include: music, full sermon, children’s message, and Holy Communion in extraordinary circumstances. We hope to continue this plan through the summer, with the hopes of implementing live-stream capabilities, so that we can have indoor worship services when it is safe to do so.
**We’ve made some adjustments to worship practices: If you are vaccinated, you no longer need to wear a mask while seated in your worship space. Please be hospitable and respectful of one another, asking if they would prefer talking masked or unmasked. This is just our first next step. There will be many steps in the coming months.

Virtual Services, along with Music Meditations and Faith Formation videos, are broadcast on YouTube each week at

Livestream Installation Update

As you know, we have been working on securing livestream equipment and its installation. The equipment has arrived and the installation has begun! It’s not yet complete, and we have a little training to do, but the good news is: It’s here and it will help us as we take next steps! Thank you to all who have worked so hard to get us to this point.

Worship Assistants Needed!

In order for our services each Sunday to run smoothly, we need your help! Please contact the church office or sign up HERE to be Parking Lot Greeter (to direct cars and to give handouts), Communion Distributor, or Lector/Prayer Leader.

Here is the sign-up for our next dinner. We will be packing 30 lunches as well. Our youth will be doing the meal prep that afternoon and our children are invited to come help pack the lunches. There are quite a number of items needed this time around, providing for many hands to contribute to this effort. Donated items need to be at Trinity by noon on the 10th. Thank you for your support! Please contact Valerie M. if you have any questions.

Bigger Than A Building 2! (BTAB 2!): Be sure to fulfill your pledge!

Trinity is now on the last lap of our fourth and final mission appeal, BIGGER Than a Building 2! (BTAB 2!) to pay for all the improvements we made to our building in 2011. We have made huge progress on paying down our loans, but we need your help. We need for everyone who has pledged to BTAB 2! to fulfill their pledge by the end of 2021, so that we can start 2022 with the mortgage paid off in full.

Thank you to everyone who has kept committed to meeting their pledges and to those who have given to BTAB 2! even though they didn’t pledge.  If you’d like to know your current giving relative to your BTAB 2 goal, you’ll be receiving a 2nd quarter statement of giving after June 30th which will show your pledge progress. Or, you can contact our Financial Secretary, Carol B, by emailing her at and she’d be happy to let you know.

If you haven’t pledged or donated, but you’re feeling grateful for all the improvements we’ve been blessed with, then prayerfully consider making a donation, in whatever amount you feel moved to make, to help eliminate our debt. Please make your check to Trinity Lutheran Church and designate BTAB 2! on your check and envelope. If you don’t have envelopes, please indicate that your check is for BTAB 2!  You can also give online by going to and clicking on the “Donate” button. Once on the donation page, be sure to note in the optional “Use this donation for” section that your donation is for “Bigger Than a Building” by selecting it from the dropdown menu.

We’re now in the homestretch of paying off our loans. We hope to be debt free by December 31, 2021. With your help, we can do this!

In Christ,
Jim K and Miriam M

Restructuring Update

At its June meeting, Council spent some time organizing itself in alignment with the restructuring model that we are trying out this coming year. Below are the new ministry groups and their council members. You will remember that in addition to each group having staff and council members, there is a need for congregation members to join each group. Keep in mind that the work at this level is big picture planning, ensuring that all functions and responsibilities of that ministry group are being covered, and coordinating with the other groups. The hope is that the ministry groups will be sharing and delegating roles and tasks, and not carrying the load of executing all the plans. New ideas will come from within the ministry groups as well as from individual members of the congregation.

How would you like to serve God’s mission and be part of the life of Trinity? Do you enjoy the planning and coordination that goes on in the early stages? Or do you prefer to get into the details of an event or activity? Do you have ideas you’re thinking about but aren’t sure where to start? Please come talk to any of the council members about questions, ideas, and ways you would like to be involved. Each group will be having an organizing meeting this summer, we’d love to have you be part of that.

If you would like to drop them off at a different time, please contact the office or Anita, and we will make sure someone is in the office to receive them.
