Trinity Tidings | October 28, 2021

Rooted in the past and growing into the future, the church must always be reformed in order to live out the love of Christ in an ever-changing world. We celebrate the good news of God’s grace, that Jesus Christ sets us free every day to do this life-transforming work. Trusting in the freedom given to us in baptism, we pray for the church, that Christians will unite more fully in worship and mission.

The Reformation Story as Told in Godly Play Style
Anita and I have chatted on occasion about the Godly Play style of story telling and wondering. I’m sharing a Godly Play video telling the story of Martin Luther and the beginning of the Reformation. It’s appropriate for all ages. I wonder how you would reform the church today? Enjoy! Valerie

Bigger Than A Building (BTAB)
A few years ago, Trinity set aside money for ministry development and community outreach (BTAB1), with the goal of meeting community needs and potentially creating a signature outreach program for Trinity. If you are interested in serving on a task force to help identify community needs and specific focus areas of interest of Trinity, and move this congregational goal forward, please contact Pastor Christine.

Help Us Beautify the Church Grounds
November 21st, following worship, join us to clean-up our property and building. There will be inside and outside jobs available, most include: cleaning, painting, and landscaping. Bring clothes that can get dirty and any shareable supplies. There will be tasks for all ages and abilities. Stick around to tailgate! Anything you would bring to eat at a football tailgate party, bring to Trinity. We will have sub sandwiches available. This will be a great way to reconnect with each other. We have all been missing fellowship over food!

Chrismon Making Session | Nov 13 | 10:30 am
Trinity began its Chrismon tree journey in the fall of 2019. We held three Chrismon making sessions, and in addition Trinity family members made these “ornaments of Christ” at home, and we celebrated the Advent and Christmas season with our new Chrismon tree. We would like to resume our Chrismon making sessions in 2021. With precautions in place, we invite Trinity family members and friends to join this year’s Chrismon making session on November 13 at 10:30 am. For Trinity family members not able to join in person, we can make kits available to complete at home.

Please look for the green cloth in the Social Hall that will be displaying Chrismons made by Trinity, along with the book that tracks the contributors for supplies and a page for each Chrismon on our tree. Please contact Angela Brown, Carol Bruno, Leslie Cradlin, Valerie Mayer, or Sabrina Rufty with any questions and to reserve your space at the class.
