Wednesday Music Meditation Sept. 23, 2020

Hello Trinity Family,

In this Sunday’s Gospel reading, Jesus discusses theology in the temple preaching about the nature of baptism and who fulfills the will of the Father. While I imagine this discussion as very formal and academic, I have to remind myself that immediately preceding this Jesus flipped tables and cursed at a fig tree. Love isn’t always easy. Gospel truths can’t always be summed up with a cute parable. The decision to follow Jesus guides us down a difficult path rife with sacrifice and difficult personal growth. Thankfully Jesus walked the difficult journey, sacrificing everything out of his love for us.
For this week’s meditation I offer “There is a Fountain” arranged by Joel Raney. The link to the video is HERE.
Here is the hymn text for your reflection:
There is a fountain filled with blood
  Drawn from Immanuel’s veins;
And sinners, plunged beneath that flood,
  Lose all their guilty stains:
  Lose all their guilty stains,
  Lose all their guilty stains;
And sinners, plunged beneath that flood,
  Lose all their guilty stains.

Blessings,
Angela
