Fellowship

One way we CARE for one another is by planning intentional times to gather in community, fellowship and fun. These times vary from congregation wide events to retreats and other small group gatherings. Food is often (always?) present at fellowship events.

Here are just a few of the events we've enjoyed:

  • Coffee and snacks following each Sunday worship offers regular opportunities to build and strengthen relationships.
  • Large Group activities include such things as Octoberfest, pancake supper, and the parish picnic.
  • Small Group activities vary from meals out, book discussions, hikes, or joining the Trinity team in the Montgomery County Interfaith 5k.
  • Our Men’s Group and Women's Gathering meet regularly each month at the homes  of a Trinity members.
  • In the fall we have an overnight women’s retreat.
  • Seasonal Advent and Lenten soup suppers precede evening prayer services.
  •

Care in Time of Need

We take care of each other spiritually through our Stephen Ministers, and physically by providing meals and rides as the needs arise.

Stephen Ministry

It’s Okay to be Human . . . Stephen Ministers Are Here to Help

We’re brought up to be strong, self-sufficient, independent people. We tend to think that if we ask for help, it’s a sign of weakness. So we try to keep our struggles hidden, stuffed deep inside. However, that’s not God’s plan. Galatians 6:2 says, “Bear one another’s burden, and so fulfill the Law of Christ.” God wants us to care for others—and allow others to care for us in our time of need.

If you’re sad or struggling inside, don’t suffer alone. Ask for help. We’ve got a team of Stephen Ministers who are ready to listen, care, encourage, pray, and help you through a tough time. It’s completely confidential too.

Trinity's team of Stephen Ministers are extensively trained in caring for individuals by providing one-on-one care to those experiencing difficult life transitions, such as: grief, divorce, job loss, or chronic or terminal illness. The caring relationship can last as long as the recipient desires and is completely confidential.

A Stephen Minister’s commitment is born of their love of Jesus and their desire to care for others in times of need. To find out more about Stephen Ministry, please contact Pastor Pauline.
